Our Story
Born in Combat
Badazz Station was founded by Peter “BadAzz” Ligier — a professional MMA fighter with a record of 10 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw, and a Luta Livre black belt. After years competing across Europe in organizations like BAMMA and Bellator, Peter decided to create something different.
After years competing in France and across Europe, Peter moved to Portugal in 2024 and founded Badazz Station — an MMA academy in Santa Maria da Feira where the next generation of champions trains every day. Not a gym chain. Not a franchise. A real fight room, where everyone who walks in becomes part of the Brotherhood.
The vision is simple: create the best martial arts center in Portugal. A place where beginners find confidence, where competitors find their best selves, and where everyone finds a family. When your coach has taken punches professionally, trust comes naturally.

The Founder
Peter Ligier
Born in France, Peter started MMA at 18 and quickly rose through the European circuit. He competed in some of the continent's biggest organizations, accumulating experience and an impressive record.
But Peter always wanted more than competing — he wanted to teach, develop and build a community. When he moved to Portugal in 2024, he found the perfect place to make that vision a reality: Santa Maria da Feira, between Porto and Aveiro.
Today, as Head Coach of Badazz Station, Peter combines his international competition experience with a teaching approach adapted to everyone. From the beginner who never threw a punch to the competitor preparing for the next fight.
The Academy

Badazz Station is located in Santa Maria da Feira, a historic town 30 minutes from both Porto and Aveiro. Easily accessible by motorway, our academy welcomes students from all across northern and central Portugal.
With five disciplines — MMA, Wrestling, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Luta Livre — we offer one of the most complete martial arts programs in the country. Our facilities include professional mats, a striking zone, heavy bags and high-quality equipment.
